Rat Terrier

The Rat Terrier is an American breed that is the result of working with the Fox Terrier, Bull Terrier, Manchester Terrier, and Old English White Terrier, to name a few. They are an intelligent, alert and loving breed that was originally bred to work as avid ratters. They are calm and cheerful, often easy to train, and are an easy breed to live with. Rat Terriers do best with lots of training & socialization from an early age. They thrive with mental stimulation and exercise, without which, they can become territorial and exhibit some behavioural issues. They do well in calm environments and are equally well suited to country life and apartment living.
