Pekingese

Pekingese were bred as companions to the imperial family of China. They have a self-important attitude and will greet you with pride and dignity. They are highly intelligent, but they are very independent and can be stubborn, making training a challenge. You have to persuade them that you are in charge, or they will take it upon themselves to be the leader.
