Kromfohrlander
An exceptionally rare breed by today's standards, the Kromfohrlander is a small to medium-sized dog hailing from the Krom Forh region of Western Germany. It's believed that a troop of American soldiers stationed in Germany at the end of WW2 stumbled upon a lone pup and took him in as their troop mascot. This dog was thought to be the descendant of fox terriers, various hounds, and Griffon-type dogs. After going AWOL for a short time, it was discovered this dog had impregnated a local fox terrier who gave birth to a litter of puppies, all of which resembled their father - the troop's beloved mascot. Kromfohrlanders can now be found in two varieties, smooth-haired and wire-haired, with both sporting the breed's signature beards and similar physical and personality traits.
