American Hairless Terrier

Native to Louisiana, USA, the American Hairless Terrier is a bold, fearless, and rather inquisitive breed that was originally used to help hunt vermin. A descendant of various English rat terrier breeds developed during the 1800s, the American Hairless retains all the feistiness and impeccable ratting skills of its ancestors. Contrary to their name, you can find coated varieties of the American Hairless Terrier, which have short, downy coats, whiskers, and defined eyebrows. The hairless variety is considered hypoallergenic and makes an excellent choice for those who suffer from allergies.
