Alpine Dachsbracke

Originating in the mountainous regions of Austria during the mid-1800s, the Alpine Dachsbracke is a rather rare breed of hunting dog with short legs and an elongated, well-muscled frame that strongly resembles that of a dachshund. In fact, the Alpine Dachsbracke is the descendant of the Dachshund and the Austrian black & tan hound, giving it a compact frame and low stature as well as impeccable scenting and tracking skills.
