American Bulldog

A descendant of the English Bulldog, the American Bulldog is a large, muscular breed that originated in the United Kingdom. Although their past is rooted in the now-outlawed sport of bullbaiting, today the American Bulldog is known as a loyal, protective, and highly affectionate dog that makes for a wonderful family pet or companion. They sport rather stocky frames, large square heads, and a set of incredibly powerful jaws (cue the indestructible chew toys). Their short, smooth coats typically include a white patch on the chest with brindle, grey, red, black, and/ or brown colouring throughout the body. These loving, faithful dogs make wonderful additions to any active household - It's no wonder they're one of the most popular breeds in America!
