American Pit Bull Terrier

A courageous breed known for its eagerness to please and trademark Pitbull smile, the American Pitbull Terrier can trace its ancestry back to 19th Century England, where it was initially bred as a multi-purpose working and family dog. The modern American Pitbull Terrier is a mix between the English Bulldog and other terrier breeds. With a large, brick-like head, wideset jaws, and broad, muscular neck and shoulders, the Pitbull presents a rather imposing stature. And although they may get a bad rap due to the stigma associated with aggression, the American Pitbull is as loyal as they come and make excellent family and companion dogs.
