Affenpinscher

Originating in Germany during the 1500s, Affenpinschers proved to be helpful little companions when it came to catching rodents and preventing infestations in homes, barns, and shops. Also known as Affens or Affies, they were later brought to North America in the 1930s and are one of the oldest toy breeds around today. While Affens usually have black coats, they can be found in a wide assortment of colours including tan, beige, white, silver, grey, and red.
