Shetland Sheepdog

Hailing from Scotland, the Shetland Sheepdog is a small herding breed that looks a lot like a smaller version of the Rough Collie. Highly athletic and intelligent, these hardy herding dogs were bred to travel vast distances over rough, rocky terrain and still require plenty of outdoor time and exercise. Affectionately known as "Shelties", these energetic dogs have long coats that can be found in a wide range of colours and patterns, most commonly black and white, blue merle and white, or sable and tan.
