Keeshond

Originally bred as companions and watchdogs who worked on boats and barges that travelled the rivers and canals in Holland during the 17th and 18th centuries, the Keeshond is truly a companion dog today. They are intelligent, lively, and alert and love to be near their people. They are highly friendly and very devoted to their families. They have excellent hearing, an outgoing personality, and usually adapt well to other pets and children being in the home.
