Chihuahua

Named for the Mexican state from which they originated, the Chihuahua may be small but what they lack in size they more than make up for in personality. One of the most popular and easily recognized breeds in the world, the lively Chihuahua readily gives affection but demands it in return as well. They are intensely loyal and can become very attached to their owners, sometimes to the point of jealousy. They bond fiercely with their people and make excellent watchdogs due to their protective, territorial natures.
