DNA My Dog

Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Aptly named for their place of origin, the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, or "Chessie", was developed initially to hunt waterfowl. They are powerful swimmers who enjoy being in the water and are tough competition in all areas of the canine sports arena. They can be a stubborn breed and do well with experienced dog owners who can cater to their need for plenty of time, attention, and exercise.
