Pointer

Pointers, often referred to as English Pointers, were the preferred breed for game hunting as far back as the 17th Century and are aptly named for the "pointing" position they enter upon picking up a scent. While their exact origins are a bit unclear, it's believed these powerful yet graceful hunters contain a mix of Foxhound, Bloodhound, Greyhound, Setter, and possibly Bulldog and Newfoundland Dog.
