Miniature American Shepherd

Originally bred as herding dogs in the United States, the Miniature American Shepherd (MAS) is the smaller cousin of the Australian Shepherd and retains the breed's impeccable herding and agility skills to this day. They originated in California during the 1960s and were revered by farmers and ranchers for their speed, endurance, and trainability. An active breed through and through, the MAS thrives in active households and is always up for an adventure. These smart pups are quick to learn new tricks and even quicker on their feet. Their thick, medium-length coats carry striking merle markings and patterns in colours ranging from blue and grey to red and tan.
