Irish Terrier

Aptly named for its Irish origins, the Irish Terrier was originally bred as a multi-purpose working/ farm dog. They have been affectionately referred to as the "farmer's friend" and "poor man's sentinel" for centuries due to their unwavering dedication and well-rounded skill set. From vermin hunting and watchdog duty to herding and guarding livestock, the Irish Terrier truly is an all-purpose pup. Their long, lithe legs provide them with ample speed and dexterity while their sturdy, squarish frames give the breed an air of strength and stoicism. They are considered to be a hypoallergenic breed due to their low shedding levels.
