English Springer Spaniel

The English Springer Spaniel (ESS) is a medium-sized sporting dog that was originally bred to help hunt game and waterfowl. The ESS excels at scent work and tracking and is named for its ability to flush birds out of trees by springing up in the air. They are closely related to the Welsh, English, and Cocker Spaniel. Considered one of the most intelligent dog breeds, the English Springer Spaniel is renowned for its success in the canine competition world. Combined with their natural athleticism and endurance it's no wonder these super dogs have won so many Best in Show awards from the Westminster Kennel Club!
