Briard

With a history dating back to the 14th century, the Briard has a long and rather interesting past. These noble pups were initially used for herding, watching over livestock, and other duties on the farm. However, their companionable nature quickly became apparent, and they became a popular choice as companion dogs. In fact, they were a favourite of Napoleon's, who was known for his general disliking of dogs.
