Boykin Spaniel

Native to South Carolina, the Boykin Spaniel was initially bred as a sporting dog to help hunt and retrieve waterfowl amid the state's many marshes and swamps. Despite their hunting roots, these friendly, companionable pups make excellent family dogs and have been known to do quite well with children and other pets.
