Labrador Retriever
Labrador Retrievers, usually referred to simply as "Labs", were bred to help fishermen haul nets, fetch ropes, and retrieve loose fish - which explains their love of water. Labs love having a job to do and are truly a Jack-of-all-trades. You can find them working as therapy and support animals, in search & rescue efforts, as police and military dogs, in scent detection jobs, and so much more. A loving family dog through and through, the Lab is one of the most popular breeds in North America because of their affable nature and gentle, playful ways.
