Silken Windhound

As a member of the sighthound family, the Silken Windhound is an incredibly agile, graceful and intelligent breed of canine with a well-balanced personality. A relatively new breed in the grand scheme of things, the Silken Windhound originated in the United States during the 1970s by crossing the Greyhound, Whippet and Saluki with their larger counterpart, the Borzoi. While the Windhound shares many similarities with the Borzoi, some noticeable differences include the Windhound's smaller size, milder prey drive, trainability and their attentiveness to people.
