Scottish Terrier
Aptly named for its place of birth, the Scottish Terrier is a small breed hailing from the Highlands of Scotland. While their exact origins are uncertain, they are believed to be the oldest of Scotland's terrier breeds and were initially used as vermin hunters and watchdogs. Affectionately referred to as "Scotties", they are known to be spunky, intelligent, and highly loyal to their people but are even better known for their unique facial hair and trademark mustaches. Their wiry double coats shed so minimally that they are considered a hypoallergenic breed and an excellent choice for owners who suffer from allergies.
